Eylem Sengezer holds a MA in German Philology, Art History and Film Studies. She is an independent researcher and cultural practitioner based in Berlin. She recently co-curated the exhibition project "The Ultimate Capital is the Sun" which deals with the notion of metabolism in arts, politics and science, opening at nGbK on September 19, 2014, together with Elena Agudio, Dorothee Albrecht, Matteo Pasquinelli and Bonaventure Ndikung. She is co-editor of the "Glossary of Inflationary Terms", an accompanying book to the exhibition "Irregular-Economies of Deviation" at nGbK, which forms a terminological index of a debate about artistic work and immaterial labour, which is being conducted with almost identical terms. A Spanish edition of the glossary will be published in October 2014 at Editorial Herder (Mexico) in cooperation with Goethe-Institut Mexico-City. She has worked for a number of institutions such as Centro de la Imagen (Mexico-City), Deutsches Historisches Museum and Haus der Kulturen der Welt amongst others.
